Mao died over 30 years ago. Many people in China were not even born when he was around. Yet is image is found all over China. Why?
Because he was a great man and a model to all of us? Maybe.
I am more inclined to think that the Chinese communist party is acutely aware of the need for symbol that will underpin their exsitence since communism by itself is not sufficient.
